The Col Ballroom in Davenport announced Tuesday that it is closing its doors.
The last event scheduled is Soul Fest on October 26 and the venue announced on social media that its last day will be October 29.
“Though it will be a night of love, happiness, dancing, and laughter I cannot help but admit for me, it will be one of sadness and heartbreak,” owner and operator Leigh A. Macias-Reitz posted on Facebook. “I truly love the Col Ballroom more than anyone would ever know and it has kept me very busy following the death of my husband but it’s time for me to move on to the next chapter in my life.”
