Kewanee Police Department seizes over $24,000 in cash, cocaine, and cannabis in a search

The Kewanee Police Department conducted a drug investigation early Saturday morning on Prospect Street in Kewanee. They were assisted by The Henry County Special Operations Squad.

Together, they executed a search warrant around 8:00 in the morning.

The Kewanee Police Department says they seized “$24,088 in U.S. currency, 21 grams of cocaine, half a pound of cannabis, several cannabis edibles, drug packaging materials, scales, drug paraphernalia, and several schedule 2 narcotics.”

Two people were arrested during the search. Jordan A. Hart, 26, and Betty L. Hart, 65, were arrested and charged.

Jordan Hart is charged with numerous drug offenses and Betty Hart is charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of a building.
